(More customer reviews)1- When you first get these the silicone is a bit tough. Over time as you continue to use the item the silicone softens up a bit to make it easier to pop ice out.
2- most of the time it's really easy for me to pop the cubes out. I just place my thumb on the silicone side of the tray under an ice cube for about 7 seconds so that the heat from my thumb loosens up the cube and then push down. Wallah. They pop out easy. The problem is that by the time I get to the third or fourth cube my thumb has cooled down considerably and the more it cools the harder it gets to get the cubes out. So if I need a lot of cubes I just put some paper towels in warm water and then I place the entire tray on the warm paper towels for a few seconds and then I start popping them out. No more twisting trays and running them under hot water.
